Banana and Chocolate Pancakes

Ingredients

  • Banane
  • Lait
  • Farine
  • Poudre à pâte
  • Pépites de chocolat

Also needed:

  • 2 eggs
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp) of canola oil

Steps

  1. In a bowl, use a fork to mash 2 bananas.
  2. Whisk in the milk and eggs.
  3. In another bowl, mix the flour with the baking powder. Make a well in the centre of the dry ingredients and gradually pour the liquid ingredients into it, whisking.
  4. Add the chocolate chips and let rest for 10 to 15 minutes.
  5. Heat the olive oil over medium heat in a frying pan. Pour in about 80 ml (⅓ cup) of batter per pancake. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes, until bubbles form on the surface. Flip and cook for 1 to 2 minutes. Keep in a warm place while you cook the rest of the pancakes.
  6. Cut the rest of the bananas and top the pancakes with them.

Peanut Sauce

In a blender, add 125 ml (1/2 cup) milk, 80 ml (1/3 cup) crunchy peanut butter and 45 ml (3 tbsp) honey. Blend until smooth and creamy. Serve this sauce cold or hot.
