Ingredients

450 g (about 1 lb.) of medium-lean ground beef
100 g (3 ½ oz.) cheese curds
60 ml (¼ cup) shallots, chopped
20 ml (4 tsp) El-Ma-Mia Beefy Mix Spices
1 egg
80 ml (⅓ cup) plain breadcrumbs
30 ml (2 tbsp) parsley, chopped
4 hamburger buns
80 ml (⅓ cup) barbecue sauce
8 strips, bacon, cooked and cut in half
1 tomato, sliced
8 leaves, Boston lettuce

Preparation

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, mix the ground beef with the cheese curds, shallots, steak seasoning, egg, breadcrumbs and parsley.
  3. Form four patties with the prepared meat.
  4. Place the patties onto the hot, well-oiled grill. Close the lid and cook for 4 to 5 minutes on each side, until patties are no longer pink inside.
  5. Grill the hamburger buns for a few seconds on the upper rack of the barbecue.
  6. Fill buns with a hamburger patty, barbecue sauce, bacon, tomato and lettuce.
