Beef wrapped around a filling of melted smoked cheese, asparagus and mushrooms—simple and oh so tasty!

Ingredients

  • Asperges
    16 small asparagus spears
  • tranche de bifteck sandwich
    8 slices inside round steak, 60 g (about 2 1/4 oz.) each
  • Cheddar Le Boucané Bio de Fromagerie L'Ancêtre
    1/2 package (190 g) L’Ancêtre Cheese Factory Le Boucané Bio cheddar, sliced
  • Champignon
    8 to 10 mushrooms, sliced
  • Échalote sèche
    1 shallot, chopped

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F).
  2. Cook the asparagus for 3 to 4 minutes in a pot of boiling, salted water. Drain.
  3. Season the beef slices with salt and pepper. Spread the cheddar, asparagus, mushrooms and shallot over the beef slices. Roll up the slices and secure with a toothpick.
  4. Heat a little olive oil in a large ovenproof skillet over medium heat. Brown the rolls on all sides for 4 to 5 minutes.
  5. Transfer to the oven and bake for 5 to 6 minutes.
