Cajun Chicken Pasta Casserole

Ingredients

  • Gemellis
    1 package (350 g) Gemelli pasta
  • Poitrine de poulet
    3 skinless chicken breasts, cut into cubes
  • Poivron
    1 bell pepper, diced
  • Crème à cuisson 15%
    500 ml (2 cups) cooking cream (15%)
  • Épices cajun
    30 ml (2 tbsp) Cajun spices

Also needed

  • 15 ml (1 tbsp) canola oil
  • 1 onion, chopped

Optional

  • 60 ml (¼ cup) fresh parsley, chopped

Preparation

  1. Cook the pasta al dente in a large pot of boiling, salted water. Drain.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Cook the chicken for 2 to 3 minutes on each side. Remove from the pan.
  3. Cook the pepper and onion for 2 minutes in the same pan. Pour in the cream, and then add the chicken and Cajun seasoning. Bring to a boil.
  4. Add the pasta, and parsley, if desired. Reheat for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring.
