Roasted Garlic Alfredo Sauce

Roasted Garlic Alfredo Sauce

Ingredients

  • Ail
  • Échalote française
  • Crème à cuisson 15%
  • Parmesan râpé
  • Muscade

Also needed

  • 60 ml (¼ cup) butter

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Cut the head of garlic in half and drizzle with olive oil.
  3. Wrap the garlic halves in a sheet of aluminum foil. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool.
  4. Remove 2 cloves of garlic from their skin and place them in a bowl. Mash them with a fork. Put the rest of the roasted garlic in the refrigerator to use another time.
  5. Melt the butter in a pot over medium heat. Cook the shallots for 1 to 2 minutes.
  6. Add the mashed roasted garlic and continue cooking for 1 minute.
  7. Pour in the cream and bring to a boil over medium heat.
  8. Add the parmesan and nutmeg. Stir until the parmesan is melted. Season with salt and pepper.
