Spaghetti With Meat and Vegetable Sauce

Spaghetti With Meat and Vegetable Sauce

  • Serves 4

Ingredients

  • Spaghettis
    340 g of Spaghetti noodles
  • Saucisse italienne
    5 mild Italian sausages
  • Légumes pour sauce à spaghetti
    375 ml (1 1/2 cups) of spaghetti sauce vegetable blend
  • Sauce tomate
    1 can (398 ml) of tomato sauce
  • Tomates en dés
    1 can (540 ml) of diced tomatoes with Italian spices

Also needed:

  • 30 ml (2 tbsp) of olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped

Steps:

  1. Cook the pasta al dente in a large pot of boiling, salted water. Drain.
  2. While the pasta is cooking, remove the casing from the sausages. Heat the oil in a pot over medium heat. Cook the sausages with the onion for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring to break up the meat.
  3. Add the vegetables. Pour in the tomato sauce and the died tomatoes. Season with salt and pepper. Let simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes over medium heat.
  4. Serve with the pasta.
