Salsa and peppers add colour and spice to this pasta dish—and the kids will love it!

Ingredients

  • Macaronis
    1 package (350 g) macaroni
  • Boeuf haché
    350 g (about ¾ lb) lean ground beef
  • Poivron vert
    1 green bell pepper, diced
  • Salsa
    250 ml (1 cup) mild salsa
  • Tartinade au fromage fondu
    1 container (400 g) cheese spread

Also needed

  • 15 ml (1 tbsp) canola oil
  • 1 onion, chopped

Preparation

  1. Cook the pasta al dente in a large pot of boiling, salted water. Drain.
  2. Heat the oil in the same pot over medium heat. Cook the beef, green pepper and onion for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring.
  3. Add the salsa and cook for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring.
  4. Add the cheese spread and let it melt for 1 to 2 minutes.
  5. Add the pasta and stir. Heat for 1 minute.
